Working Together

Working together as a partnership we are improving the river catchment and its wildlife

The partnership is a team effort and we are actively looking for new partners to come on board to work with us, either as volunteers or project partners. For further information please get in touch.

Our core partners:

Action for the River Kennet is the Rivers Trust for the Kennet. ARK is an established charity, having been working on the Kennet since 1991. ARK are the catchment hosts for the Kennet Catchment Partnership.
The Environment Agency is the public body responsible for protecting and improving the environment and promoting sustainable development in England. The EA is the ‘competent authority’ for delivery of the Water Framework Directive.

The Canal and Rivers Trust is the charity entrusted with the care of 2000 miles of canals and some rivers in England and Wales.

The Kennet Valley Fishery Association, which was originally formed in 1922, was reformed in 1973. Its principle objective is to represent and act for the membership in protecting the Rivers Kennet, Pang and their tributaries, which have long been renowned for the quality of their fisheries.

Membership includes riparian owners, angling clubs and associations, and individual anglers, and is drawn from the whole of the main Kennet from above Marlborough down to Reading, together with the Lambourn and other tributaries, and the Pang.
