A great partnership project is underway at Padworth, to improve vital spawning habitat in the southern channel downstream from Padworth Mill. The work is a partnership between CALPAC, Reading and District Angling Association and Kennet Valley Fishery Association with support from Action for the River Kennet and the Environment Agency.
Work is due to be completed in November 2019 and will benefit a wide range for fish species. This is the first of several river habitat improvement projects on the main Kennet in 2019, funded through the Kennet Fishery Habitat Grants, administered by Kennet Valley Fishery Association.
